U.S. Rep. John Lewis will Join with Striking Houston Janitors under the Common Banner "Freedom Under Fire"

HOUSTON--- United States Congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis (D-GA) will join with striking Houston janitors at a rally on Friday. Janitors are in their fifth day of a strike against national cleaning contractors who refuse to bargain in good faith.

Lewis, often called "one of the most courageous persons the Civil Rights Movement ever produced," has dedicated his life to protecting human rights, securing civil liberties, and building what he calls "The Beloved Community" in America.
